The Beatles: 10 Best Solo Songs

3. Live And Let Die – Paul McCartney

Back to Paul once more now for his incredible Bond theme: Live and Let Die.

Commissioned especially to McCartney, who reunited with his old Beatles producer George Martin in the process, is there a better moment in music than when the guitars suddenly explode into life in this song, followed by the shrill orchestral arrangement?

The song (and the accompanying movie, for that matter) did very well worldwide, and spawned numerous cover versions, most notable one by Guns n Roses, who reinvigorated the hit for a 90’s metal audience.
